THE Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division Two promotion race is hotting up.

Alderton are top with Broadway United Reserves, Bretforton Old Boys Reserves and TDMS Harvington all three points behind with games in hand.

The leaders lost at TDMS 1-0 with Jack Hollins scoring.

Broadway recorded the biggest win of the season at Bredon 20-1 through Louis Brown (5) and Jack Steele (3) alongside braces from Louis Sutton, James Heritage, Craig Burtenshaw, Brandon Parker and Steve Thomas.

Bretforton hit seven without reply against Fortis through Matt Staley (5), Tim Beattie and Ashley Withers.

Cropthorne and Badsey Recreation drew 1-1 with Aaron Letterese and Stewart Davis netting respectively.

It is tight at the top in Division Four with six teams in with a chance of promotion.

Leaders Pebworth were held at home by Dragons 2-2.

Tom Benfield and Adam Keen scored for Pebworth while Alex Lane netted twice for Dragons.

Ashton 88 slipped up at home to Strawberry Field United 3-2.

Alex Johnson and Keiran James scored for Ashton with Keiran Downey, Jack England and Doug Wallace on target for the visitors.

Ambi Allsports took the honours in the derby with Bengeworth 10-3.

William Johns (3), Aiden Booth (3), Scott McKenna (2), Colin Dawe and an own goal fired Allsports while Stratford HGC and TDMS Evesham failed to produce a goal.

In Division One, Inkberrow won at Broadway United 4-2 with goals from Alex Griffiths (2), Alex Bullock and Greg Guy.

Broadway scored through Jason Horsburgh and Adam Rich.

Offenham Rovers defeated New Inn Pershore 2-1 with Alex Trinder and Jake Andrews scoring and Kyle Ballard replying.

New Inn are now only a point above Rovers at the foot of the table.

Evesham WMC won comfortably at Tewkesbury Town 7-2.

Bretforton Old Boys defeated Stour Excelsior 5-1 in the Evesham Mechanical Services Knockout Cup to reach their third final of the season.

Three early goals from Will Gayton (2) and Dan Tustin set Old Boys on the way with further strikes from Jamie Clarke and Phil Davies.

Chris Rowberry scored a consolation.
