LITTLETON failed to convert dominance into goals as they lost 3-1 at home to lowly Cadbury Athletic in Midland League Division One.
The villagers set off at a cracking pace and took the lead on six minutes when Robbie Bunn hit a fine drive from more than 20 yards into the bottom corner.
More goals looked on the cards as Littleton attacked in waves.
But on 18 minutes Cadbury were awarded a soft penalty and this seemed to drain Littleton's confidence as Cadbury easily converted.
Early in the second half the visitors were awarded a second penalty which was duly converted.
An experienced Cadbury team were able to absorb Littleton's increasingly frenetic attacks and scored a breakaway third goal on 85 minutes to complete a miserable afternoon for the hosts.
Mid-table Littleton go to Ilkeston Town on Saturday (3pm) after Thursday's visit to Bolehall Swifts (7.45pm).
They then visit Hinckley AFC on Tuesday (7.45pm).
