LITTLETON Aces’ Specsavers Evesham and District Table Tennis League Division One title challenge appears to be slipping away after defeats to Kington Blades and Wyre Elite.

Blades’ Alan Cotton and John Price won all three of their games, while Elite’s Matt Hartwell claimed all his matches in straight sets.

Bengeworth Lions were strengthened by Alex Grokhotov's return and eased to comfortable victories over Bengeworth Purple and Kington Bulldogs.

Grokhotov has 28 wins from 29 matches so far this season.

At the other end of the table, Bengeworth Purple and Wyre Livewyres fought out an exciting 5-5 draw.

Purple’s Margaret Dignum put in a match-saving performance, winning all three singles matches and the doubles with Richard McGhee.
