BRETFORTON avenged defeat by Chippenham with a comfortable 3-1 away win in the return West Clubs Women's League Premier Division '2A' match.
Although going behind to a cracking strike and soaking up plenty of short corners, it was to eventually be Bret's day.
They were denied by impressive keeping but finally made the breakthrough when player-of-the-match Terri Brown knocked home the ball after a defensive mistake.
The game turned around in the second period when Brown found Tess Lewinton, whose perfect first touch allowed her to fire a blistering shot into the net.
Bret sealed the game when a Lewinton pass from a short corner to Daisy Wheeler saw the defender smash home.
With two minutes left, Chippenham were awarded a penalty flick for an offence by Heather Carr but keeper Vicky Watkins saved easily.
Bret host Newent on Saturday at Evesham High School (10.30am).
