BOURTON Roadrunners were well represented at the Berkeley 10-kilometre race.

Held over a flat two-lap course, runners battled a blustery wind but there were prize-winning displays.

Bourton’s Dennis Walmsley was sixth overall and first men’s veteran over 50 in 35 minutes 23 seconds.

Ewen Smith clocked 36.57, Darren Long 38.56 and Rob French 40.59, while Tony Goodwill finished first men’s veteran over 55 in 41.07.

Niamh Shoemark’s 41.45 and Claire Harrison’s 42.47 were both personal bests.

John Gibson ran 44.00, Brian Hulcup 44.44, Chris Dry 46.32, Liz Hulcup 47.32 for first women’s veteran over 60 and Dave Turnbull 47.54.

Bourton’s ladies team sealed second place.

In the Brathay Windermere Marathon, Steve Edwards ran three hours 14 minutes 12 seconds for third men’s over 50, reaching 300 sub-3.16 times at the distance.

Harrison’s third marathon in five weeks was completed in 3.50.37.
