EVESHAM were the latest victims of defending champions Stratford with a 4-0 defeat in the Wildmoor Spa Tennis League Premier Division.
Stratford surged 12 points clear at the top as Callum Bailey and Cameron Malik defeated John Clarke and Andy Crowther 6-1, 6-1 and Simon Wall and Paul Everett 6-1, 6-1.
Tim Page and Simon West beat third-placed Evesham's Wall and Everett 6-1, 6-3 and Clarke and Crowther 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6). Relegation-threatened Littletons lost 3-1 to Henley-in-Arden in the top-flight despite Andrew Reynolds and Simon Blewitt winning one match 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9).
Henley's Neil Supperstone and John Hunt starred by defeating Richard Herborn and Jack Phillpot 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4) and Reynolds and Blewitt 6-2, 6-0.
Herborn and Phillpot lost their other clash 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-2).
Fifth-placed Alcester beat bottom side Inkberrow 3-1 with Graeme Rankin and Matt Saunders fighting back with a 6-1, 7-5 defeat of Matt Poole and Oliver Alleman.
However, Poole and Alleman beat Chris Dixon and Nick Brookes 6-3, 6-4.
Alcester's Alex Woodbridge and Tim Kenneally proved to be the difference, edging out Rankin and Saunders 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9) and Dixon and Brookes 6-1, 6-1.
In Division One, Studley 'B' moved back up to second place despite being held 2-2 by bottom side Shipston-on-Stour.
Pershore slipped down the table as a result after being beaten 3-1 by Snitterfield.
Moreton-in-Marsh A still head the Division Two table but had their lead cut to two points when Whitnash recorded a 4-0 win over bottom team Claverdon 'B' in a rearranged match.
Division Three saw Ardencote 'B' extend their lead at the top to five points following their 3-1 victory over nearest challengers Inkberrow 'B'.
The bottom two, Ilmington and Chipping Campden, drew 2-2.
In Division Four, Littleton 'B' defeated bottom-of-the-table Chipping Campden 'C' 3-1 but still lie in the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Division Five leaders Pershore 'B' were without a fixture and they got knocked off the top by HDA 'B'.
The Redditch outfit surprisingly thrashed third-placed Inkberrow 'C' 4-0 to go one point clear.
There is an eight-point gap to fourth-placed Moreton-in-Marsh 'B' despite their 3-1 win over rock-bottom Inkberrow 'D'.
The relegation-zone battle between Bidford-on-Avon 'B' and Wildmoor Spa 'B' ended in a 2-2 draw.
