EVESHAM Tennis Club have been voted club of the year for 2014 in the South Warwickshire Summer League.

League secretary Corin Bishop eliminated those that did not field a junior league team and any fined for rule infringements or putting out only one pair during the campaign.

With seven clubs left, another was knocked out for missing a junior match and four previous winners were discounted in order to reward a new victor.

They are ably led by long-serving team contact and captain Ray Foster-Morison.

He is supported by club coach Andrew Crowther. who also organises the junior side that finished runners-up in Pool ‘C’.
