A TALENTED Pershore swimmer has been called up by Great Britain to compete in trials for the Baku 2015 European Games in Azerbaijan.
Tazmin Pugh, 14, shone in the summer’s ASA National Age Group Championships in Sheffield with four medals, including the 400-metre individual medley title.
This followed the teenager finishing first in the overall standings in the Midland Championships.
Pugh won a medal in every event she competed in with five golds, three silvers and two bronzes.
The former Pershore High School pupil is flourishing in the swimming academy at Shropshire’s Ellesmere College and continues her impressive progress.
Her latest call-up arrived through the British Olympic Association and Team GB.
The games are the first such multi-sport event in Europe along similar lines to the Olympics and the championships already held in Asia, Pan America and Oceana.
