BOURTON Roadrunners’ Steve Edwards has made history once again.

He became the first person to run 400 official marathons in below three hours 20 minutes.

Edwards completed his 650th marathon at Hereford in three hours 17 minutes 23 seconds and was fourth.

Twenty-one Bourton members did a warm Cirencester 10-kilometre run for county road race series and club six from 10 competition points.

Roadrunners’ Dennis Walmsley was seventh and first men’s veteran over 50 in 36.58.

Chris Krzywiec clocked 37.46, Darren Long 39.57, Ian Shoemark 40.28, Mike Hobbs 40.48, Andrew Peaston 41.24, Tony Goodwill 42.20, Niamh Shoemark 42.51, Kate Krzywiec 44.29, Susan Hunt 45.43 and Brian Hulcup 46.07.

John Gibson did 46.10, Steph Holton 46.57, Catherine Wheeler 47.42, Chris Dry 50.23, Liz Hulcup 51.33, Dave Turnbull 51.18, Jan Short 52.41, Shirley Creed 53.49, Lynn Hudson 58.07 and Pamela Parton 61.28.
