EVESHAM Vale Triathletes’ juniors were joined by Pershore High School youngsters in the club’s duathlon.

The Tristart category for eight-year-olds featured 400-metre and 200m runs and a 1,500-kilometre bike race with Dale Finley edging out Ben Miller.

Tristart One for those aged nine to 10 involved 1,200m and 400m runs and a 3.2km bike section.

The winner Ned Meridith was followed by Fin Watkins and Boden Ferreira for the boys. Grace Nolan won the girls’ event ahead of Lara Meridith and Charlotte Millar.

Tristart Two for 11 to 12 year olds comprised 1,200m and 400m runs and a 4.8km bike section.

The boys’ race went to Jamie Saunders followed closely by James Carsberg and Leo Rendall-Baker.

The girls’ contest saw newcomer Aimee Lane win ahead of Satara Ferreira and Hattie Gill.

Tristart Three for those aged 13 to 14 involved 1,800m and 800m runs and a 6.4km bike section.

Callum Sanderson won for the boys and Casarena Ferreira for the girls followed by Eleanor Tarring and Laura Tolley.

The youth race, with 1,800m and 800m runs and a 6.4km bike section, went to Ben Harris with Troy Mathews second.

For Pershore High School competitors, William Parry won from Bill Mitchell and Adam Palin.
