TWO former Davis Cup players will hold coaching and an exhibition match at Pershore Tennis Centre.
Following a successful 2014, Pershore begin the new year in style on Saturday, January 17, when they host the official opening of their LED lights on the indoor courts.
A small team raised funds and grants, aided by the Lawn Tennis Association, Sport England and the Severn Waste Environmental Fund.
Niall O’Loghlen, who did much of the organising, will shake hands with ex-Great Britain Davis Cup player Danny Sapsford as they cut a ribbon and switch the lights on.
Sapsford runs charity Bright Ideas For Tennis, who hold free tennis events while the host club can sell tickets and put proceeds towards improving facilities and coaching.
With fellow ex-British cap Luke Milligan, they will coach all age groups over three sessions.
There will also be an exhibition between professionals and club coaches.
Tickets are on sale on 01386-556677.
