PERSHORE Swimming Club finished the season strongly with numerous podiums and personal bests at the Wyre Forest open meet in Wolverhampton.

Patrick Heeks, who has achieved most of his county qualifying times and is now chasing Midland qualification for 2015, dominated the 11 years boys’ group.

He won golds in the 100-metre individual medley (one minute 22.42 seconds), 100m backstroke (1.18.06) and 100m (1.11.11) and 50m freestyle (33.19).

Heeks added silvers in the 200m individual medley (2.57.64), 100m butterfly (1.21.11) and 50m breaststroke (46.69).

Chris Vizard took golds in the 12 years 200m (2.41.47) and 100m individual medley (1.15.83), 100m freestyle (1.05.40), 100m (1.27.44) and 50m breaststroke (40.61) and 50m freestyle (29.87).

He was second in the 100m (1.15.43) and 50m backstroke (35.28).

For the girls, Lauren Annis won the nine years 50m freestyle (36.65) and 50m breaststroke (49.36).

Alexandra Barry was first in the 11 years 200m (2.57.13) and 100m individual medley (1.25.03) with silvers in the 50m butterfly (37.81) and 100m freestyle (1.16.31).

She was third in the 100m breaststroke (1.41.02), 100m backstroke (1.26.01), 100m butterfly (1.34.25) and 50m freestyle (33.68).

Macey French won the 11 years 100m butterfly in 1.31.35 before adding bronzes in the 200m (3.04.64) and 100m individual medley (1.26.81).

Amy Weston bagged gold in the 13 years 100m backstroke in 1.15.97 and silvers in the 100m butterfly (1.19.35) and 50m backstroke (35.03).

Pershore’s Katie Sharratt won golds in the 16 and over 100m individual medley (1.24.56), 50m freestyle (33.57), 100m backstroke (1.20.70) and 100m freestyle (1.14.40). She added silvers in the 100m butterfly (1.22.86) and 50m backstroke (37.64) and bronze in the 50m butterfly (35.77).
