PERSHORE'S Alexandra Barry secured her first top girl award at the City of Coventry open meet.

The 28-strong team won 66 medals in the international 50-metre pool.

Barry claimed eight, including six golds, and closed in on Midland qualifying times (MQTs) with personal bests.

Victories came in the 11 years 200m individual medley (two minutes 53.49 seconds), 50m (33.23) and 400m freestyle (5.23.33), 100m (1.22.68) and 200m backstroke (2.51.49) and 50m butterfly (35.74).

Barry also snatched silvers in the 200m (2.37.32) and 100m freestyle (1.13.08).

Chris Vizard was unlucky not to win the top boy award, just being edged into second place with 11 medals.

Golds came in the 12 years 100m (1.06.41) and 50m freestyle (30.50) and 100m butterfly (1.16.82).

He had silvers in the 200m (2.49.29) and 100m backstroke (1.19.39), 50m (34.27) and 200m butterfly (2.53.25), 50m (41.62) and 100m breaststroke (1.30.41) and 200m freestyle (2.29.52).

Vizard was third in the 200m individual medley (2.47.01).

Jasmine Franks won gold in the 10 years 100m breaststroke (1.40.50), silver in the 50m breaststroke (47.71) and bronzes in the 100m freestyle (1.16.45) and 50m butterfly (40.59).

Caitlin Yates took silver in the 10 years 100m breaststroke (1.40.99) and bronze in the 50m breaststroke (48.17).

Megan Annis won gold in the 11 years 50m breaststroke (41.70) with silvers in the 100m breaststroke (1.32.39) and 200m individual medley (2.53.80).

Naomi Marsden secured gold in the 12 years 200m individual medley (2.50.49) and 100m backstroke (1.16.18).

Isobel Cumming claimed bronzes in the 12 years 400m individual medley (6.34.05) and 200m butterfly (3.24.43).

Amy Cooper bagged gold in the 13 years 200m butterfly (3.07.19) and bronzes in the 100m freestyle (1.09.07), 200m backstroke (2.51.58), 50m butterfly (35.52) and 200m individual medley (2.56.43).

Hannah Simister grabbed gold in the 13 years 200m breaststroke (3.21.04) and bronze in the 50m breaststroke (42.89).

Beth Carter secured bronze in the 15 years and over 100m breaststroke (1.26.47).

For the boys, Patrick Heeks claimed golds in the 11 years 100m (1.12.70) and 200m freestyle (2.43.07), 200m backstroke (2.52.67), and 200m butterfly (3.02.19).

He took silver in the 100m butterfly (1.20.74) and bronze in the 400m freestyle (5.32.95).

Jamie Saunders won 400m individual medley gold (7.07.82), silver in the 200m butterfly (3.28.21) and bronze in the 100m butterfly (1.35.67).

Kieran Cooper won gold in the 100m backstroke (1.25.47), silver in the 50m freestyle (34.02) and bronzes in the 100m freestyle (1.16.27), 200m individual medley (3.03.23) and 50m breaststroke (47.51).

Ronan Williams added silver in the 100m backstroke (1.28.78).

Simon Sweatman won the 12 years 400m freestyle (4.56.62), 200m butterfly (2.49.56), 200m individual medley (2.40.34) and 50m breaststroke (41.48).

Will Gearey took gold in the 100m breaststroke (1.26.78), silver in the 400m freestyle (5.04.57) and bronze in the 200m butterfly (2.58.65).

Luke Perry managed silver in the 50m backstroke (38.37) and bronzes in the 200m (2.54.74) and 100m backstroke (1.21.66) and 200m breastroke (3.25.38).

Amelia Gearey achieved her first CQT in the 10 years 100m breaststroke in 1.46.87.

Owen Kirby, William Clarke, Ben Clarke, Gabriella Barry, Tamara Marsden, Jasmine Hoskins, Lauren Annis, Hazel Clay, Charlotte Downey and Sophie Thomas produced PBs or just missed out on podium finishes.
