PAUL Colley proved red-hot as Childswickham Gun Club held their first shoot of the season.
The HRS Perpetual Challenge Cup was over a conventional skeet lay-out but with only five stands instead of the usual seven, giving a total of 20 targets.
Long-standing club member Colley gave a masterclass with a perfect score of 20-20.
The discipline was combined with 20 more sporting targets and Colley dropped just two to return an impressive score of 38-40, taking the HRS Trophy and high gun of the day.
Joint second with 35-40 were Richard Taylor and Dave Lindup ahead of David Galbraith (34-40).
The usual charity pool shoot saw Danny Andrews win impressively with 10-10.
The next shoot will be for the Ray Marsden Memorial Trophy on February 22.
