THREE sides contested third place in the Cotswold Floorball League’s A team competition.
Bourton-on-the-Water gave themselves a good start by defeating Bledington 2-1.
Reece Oakey scored both goals before Josh Hardwick pulled one back with seconds to go.
Bourton and Ilmington then needed a win to gain third place.
Ollie Gibb netted twice within a minute to give Ilmington the lead but William Pulham got one back to ensure a furious finish.
The 2-1 win gave Ilmington third spot on goal difference.
Friendlies followed with Ilmington emphasising their superiority over Bledington through a Breyten Armstrong hat-trick.
Each team then played a scratch side from Chipping Campden School.
Charlie Dews (8), Fraser Carr (5), Joshi Gibb (3) and Jake Cannadine (2) scored for the school.
They beat Bourton 6-0 and 6-0, Bledington 3-1 and Ilmington 3-1.
Sam Alvin netted for Bledington and Gibb for Ilmington.
