FIGHT fans are in for a treat as Championship England Boxing returns to Evesham on Saturday, March 7, at the De Montfort Sports Centre.

The event in Four Pools Road will showcase 15 bouts of top-class action, including title fights for the Central England belts.

Joint top of the bill is Central England middleweight champion Jack Williams from Aston against Stoke’s Nathan Heaney.

It will be the third time the boxers have met with Williams winning both previous encounters by a split decision.

Heaney boxed in Evesham last February in a bout chosen as Amateur Boxing Association of England fight of the year, beating rising professional Adam Harper.

Jamal Ledoux makes the first defence of his Central England light heavyweight title against fellow big puncher Abdul Aleem Ahmed.

Highly-rated Leamington boxer Danny Quartermaine challenges Macauley Owen, of Telford, for his youth lightweight title.

Alcester School of Boxing heavyweight Damien Webb gets the chance to avenge his knockout loss in November with a rematch against Nick Cartwright, of Nottingham.

Alcester juniors Luke Stanley and William Gillies make their debuts against opponents from Bournemouth and Derby.

This is the third night of Championship England Boxing at Evesham in the past 12 months and both previous action-packed events attracted capacity crowds. As well as 15 bouts, there is a DJ, hot food and a licensed bar.

Tickets are available on the door, priced at £25, £15 and £10, from 7pm with the first bout beginning at 7.45pm.
