EMMA Gardiner equalised as Pershore held title-chasing Harborne thirds 1-1 in Worcestershire Women’s League Division One.

The hosts put together good early moves through Emily Capaldi, Clare Chadwick and Lottie Cox.

Harborne were denied by defenders Sam Wutherford, Amanda Barnes and Zoe Nicholson and the keeper.

But they bundled home a goal, leaving coach Martin Ebbage to pick up his players at the break.

Pershore improved in the second period through Nicki Shepherd and Heidi Deacon.

Gardiner levelled and fourth-from-bottom Pershore went close to a late winner.

Evesham and Badsey thrashed fellow strugglers Harborne fourths 5-0.
