THE indoor section of Chipping Norton Bowls Club held their annual prize presentation evening at the clubhouse off Burford Road.

Indoor chairman Roberta Jarvie welcomed everyone to the evening and said: "I would like to offer a very warm welcome to you all and a special welcome to Oxfordshire Indoor Bowls vice-president Robin McStay.

"The attendance this year is the highest we have had and we hope you all enjoy the evening.

"The indoor section of the club has had a very successful season, not only have we attracted over 40 new members but we are very proud to have both finalists in the Oxfordshire men's singles competition, John Cox and Martin Shepherd, with Martin being victorious following a very tough contest.

"Plus the 10s team will be playing in the final and four members will be playing in the Oxfordshire men's rinks final in Steve Witcombe, Richard Barnett, Paul Robbins and John."

Following the meal, Jarvie asked McStay to present the prizes.
