EVESHAM'S Terry Fuller raced the Hottrax Motorsport Clubman 1000cc Endurance at Pembrey with Gavin Bartlett after John Kilcar fell during qualifying in damp conditions.

They were fifth in class and 18th overall for the start of the race in Wales before the Full On Racing duo finished third and 10th respectively.

Fuller said: "Gavin runs a 600 so we were already down a little on power compared to the other teams but he got off to a good start in tricky conditions and we started to move up in positions.

"We made the decision for my first stint to put in dry tyres, which worked well as there was a decent dry line and again we were moving up in the places, making some good progress.

"Gavin then went out on dry tyres for his second stint but had a 60-second penalty he needed to come in and do for over-running in his first session by just over two minutes so we lost around one lap there.

"In my second stint, I was riding as hard as I could and pushed out my personal best lap times and got us up to third in class and 11th overall.

"Gavin's last stint went well, keeping us in the same position. My last stint was supposed to be 25 minutes.

"I got us to 10th overall and kept us in third in class, where we finished, but the safety car came out with around five or six laps left and I just had to run us down around the pace car to finish the race."
