RICHARD Lee won Naunton Downs Golf Club’s seniors’ Spring Cup with 44 points.
In the stableford played off the yellow tees, JAC Smith was second with 39 followed by Barry Dingle (37).
The April medal and stableford, involving stroke-play off the white tees, went to Jon Smith on 81 gross 15 handicap 66 nett.
Second was Peter Edwards (86-17-69) and third after count-back was Bill Cretney (90-21-69).
When scores were recalculated on a stableford basis, other prize winners were John Brennan on 38 points, Paul Gwilt (37) and Alan Pinder (37) on count-back.
In matches, Naunton Downs lost 4-2 at home to Wychwood and Whitney Lakes as well as drawing 3-3 at Gloucester and 3-3 at Thornbury.
They produced 4-2 home wins over both Stratford Oaks and Bransford but lost 4½-3½ at South Hereford.
