VALE riders figured in a successful Master of Midshires grasstrack racing event.
A large crowd at Ashorne, near Stratford, witnessed a superb return to the grass of the Cotswold Express, Tim Nobes.
Aston Magna’s Nobes led the 500cc solo final but had to settle for third spot behind Paul Cooper and the young winner James Shanes. Offenham’s Scott Cresswell had a decent day in the 500cc solos but failed to make the final.
Worcester’s Tim Curnock grabbed the runners-up position in the uprights class after solid performances in the heats. Stourport’s Mark Taylor was runner-up in the 350cc final.
