BROADWAY’S Annabelle and Les Carter won the prestigious John Freeman Open trophy in memory of the late former club professional.
A packed field played the mixed greensomes stableford with entrants from all over the country and the Carters were clear leaders with 43 points.
Buckingham visitors Collumb Harrington and Kaye Mater were second with 40, ahead of Broadway president Richard Rouse and Rhiannon Gadsby-Evans (39) and Cotswold Edge’s Peter and Jinny Peachy (38).
The men’s Harvey Cup, named after former Broadway member Fred Harvey, was played among the club’s over 55s with Ian Mann’s 41 points grabbing top spot.
Les Carter was second with 39, ahead of Russell Payne on count-back, with Brian Campbell fourth on 38.
