NINETY-ONE The Vale seniors turned out for a four-ball individual stableford and the annual eclectic competition third round.

Eric Salter won Division One at the Bishampton club with 36 points ahead of Chris Enticknap (35) and Gerry Clayton (35).

Division Two went to Tony Perryman (37), followed by Brian Bickley (36), Mel Locke (36) and Howard Parsons (36), with Division Three going to Vincent Domingo (38) in front of David Alesbury (38), Jim Elliott (36) and Brian Leggott (35).

Nearest the pin on the fifth hole was Enticknap.

Forty-two The Vale ladies played a medal, with the Silver Division won by Fiona Mitchell (88 gross 77 nett) ahead of Jan Taylor (100-80) and Clare Bunn (98-81) on count-back.

Bronze Division honours went to Kath Hudders (105-77) followed by Janice Brown (106-79).

The Copper Division was claimed by Pat Elliott (111-80) in front of Susan Day (117-81).

Forty-five The Vale ladies played an 18-hole stableford qualifier.

The Silver Division first prize went to Rosemary Shufflebotham on 36 points, with Margaret McCaig (35) second and Mary Yates (34) third.

Janice Brown secured the Bronze Division with 38 ahead of Jas Bishop (34 on count-back) and Alison Wing (34).

Mary Carrington topped the Copper Division with 33 on count-back from Penny Sharp (33).

Ann Gusterson won a nine-hole stableford qualifier with 16 points.

Meanwhile, 100 Broadway men turned out to play in their medals over two days in fine conditions.

Club president Richard Rouse won Division One with 70 nett, leaving Malcolm Ross second with 71.

Just losing out on count-back was the third-placed Paul O’Hagan, who achieved lowest gross with 75.

The clear winner of Division Two was Ian Moreton with 67 ahead of Paul Homans (68) and Tony Knight (70).

The Stanley Bowl was held in easing winds and Kenny Campbell won with ease on 41 points from Paul Archer (40 on count-back), Andy Nabbs (40) and Andrew Rouse (39).

Broadway ladies played their England Golf medal and scoring proved a challenge.

Lin Andrew won with 77 nett and the lowest gross of 90 followed by Jayne Potter (81 nett) and Vicky Watkins (83).
