A MORETON-IN-MARSH sidecar crew worked tirelessly to secure two second places at their latest meeting.
Rider Terry Howse and first-season passenger Leigh Ricketts, aided by mechanic Rod Peach, impressed in the Crewe and South Cheshire Motorcycle Racing Championships’ third round of four at Tonfanau in Gwynedd, Wales.
Helped by the fitting of a new engine in their machine, they secured a collection of trophies in the combined Formula One and Two Sidecars class after finishing second in the first two races and third in the finale.
It was a welcome set of results after Howse’s machine had suffered engine issues in the past, including at his previous meeting in another championship at Darley Moor in Derbyshire.
Howse should ride in the final round of the Crewe championship at Tonfanau over the August Bank Holiday.
