EVESHAM’S Terry Fuller will restrict his outings to test days for the rest of the season after a tough period.

Fuller and his Full On Racing team attended the Thundersport round of GP1 at Oulton Park to keep his hand in on the racing scene.

His involvement in the Hottrax Motorsport championship had ended when the company went into liquidation, leaving the Vale competitor out of pocket.

But the engine on his BMW HP4 blew near the end of the second test session in Cheshire after setting good lap times.

He returned to the pits to avoid further damage and went out on his BMW S1000RR for the last session following tyre changes.

Fuller qualified 26th out of 36 riders and fifth in his class in one minute 48 seconds.

He also finished fifth in his class in the first race but a bad start in the second restricted him to ninth.

Fuller will now take time to get his bike fixed and build up finances with occasional visits to test days.
