The winning team at Naunton Downs’ captain’s charity day.
NAUNTON Downs Golf Club members helped raise funds for captain’s charity Winston’s Wish in warm sunshine.
There was a chance to win a car with a hole-in-one on the sixth hole thanks to Bristol Street Motors, but no-one could provide an ace.
Roger Downes, Jenny Downes, Chris Downes and Les Hughes won with 86 points ahead of Simon Mills, Dave Sellwood, Paul Harding and Dawn Rimmer (85). Rick Burch, Mark Salf, David Bentley and Michael Cox (83) were third.
Nearest the pin were Roger Downes and Rimmer for the men and women respectively on the sixth hole. Rimmer and Nick Smart hit the longest drives on the 12th and 18th holes.
