THE last few outstanding matches were played in the Evesham and District Specsavers Table Tennis League.

The new Division One champions are JLM Hawks who are based at Wallace House, Evesham.

Hawks were undefeated all season with 16 wins and two draws.

Key players were Dave Harvey, Luke Moffat and Craig Norledge.

Jack Davis and Luke Gresty also assisted, making four appearances each.

Kington Blades were runners-up and Littleton Positives finished in third place.

Harvey of Hawks topped the league’s individual averages table with 38 wins from 41 played.

In second place was Moffat of Hawks and Matt Hartwell of Wyre Elite was third.

JLM Sunrisers were Division Two winners, making it a league double for JLM.

The squad was Jonathan Lyons, Stef Mytton, Mandy Sylvester and Kevin Taylor.

Sunrisers had 15 wins, one draw and two defeats.

Littleton Dolphins were runners-up and Littleton Bears finished in third place.

Stephen Glazzard of Wyre Warriors had the best individual figures in the division with 38 played and just one defeat.

In second place was Simon Robinson of Dolphins and Kevin Taylor of Sunrisers placed third.

Several talented, younger players have come through into the top division to challenge the established names.

The new season starts in September.
