CHIPPING Norton racehorse trainer Charlie Longsdon is celebrating after achieving his sixth winner of the season.
Champion jockey Richard Johnson rode Western Miller to an excellent victory in the 3.20pm at Bangor.
The 4-1 shot saw off the challenge from 5-2 favourite Barry Jack to take first place in the nine-strong field.
Chankillo, a 12-1 shot, finished in third place.
Longsdon said: “It is always good to keep the winners coming in through the summer because we have very few horses still in work.
“Western Miller won well at Bangor under an excellent ride by Richard to bring us up to six winners so far this season.”
Longsdon added: “He settled much better and managed to finish his race well with the added tongue strap.
“He was our only runner last week and we have a quiet weekend with no runners.”
