BREDON roared to the top of Worcestershire League Division Two with an emphatic 92-run home victory against promotion rivals Evesham.

Tim Mcvicker (73) and wicketkeeper Jamie Munro (72) were vital for Bredon who piled up 277 after losing early wickets.

Richard Bruce (37 not out) also made a contribution, while Adnan Sagheer (4-38) and James Crenan (3-55) picked up wickets.

Despite 67 from Mohammed Fahim Maan, the former leaders were bowled out for 185 by Tom Walsingham (3-49), Dominic Fenney (2-33) and Kevin Wilkins (2-35).

Pershore secured a winning draw at Harborne in a high-scoring Birmingham and District League Division Two match.

Adam Wiffen (83), Taylor Pugh (57) and Chris Ridings (53 not out) saw Pershore to 282-8.

Harborne reached 259-8 after Andy Lloyd (81) batted well. Matt Brace took 3-47 for Pershore.
