PERSHORE'S Holy Redeemer Primary won three out of a possible four shields at the Catholic Schools Swimming Gala.

They produced a superb overall performance thanks to an outstanding relay team as well as individual displays.

Every swimmer in the 18-strong group won at least one medal.  The boys' under nines shield went to James Barnett, Toby Marchant, Tom Porter and Max Lester.  David Annis, Kian Baker, Jack Porter, Josh Lester and Harry Barnett claimed the boys' under 11s shield.

The girls' under 11s shield was picked up by Chloe Barnard, Leah Boulton, Molly Beach, Ruth Teale and Natalia Kelly. 

There was a second place for the girls' under nines team of Lily Annis, Maisie Beach, Alexandra Kelly and Hannah Webley.  Individual 25-metre wins were clocked up by Molly Beach in the breaststroke, David Annis in the backstroke, Jack Porter in the breaststroke, Tom Porter in the breaststroke, James Barnett in the backstroke, Marchant in the freestyle and Lily Annis in the backstroke.

There were silvers for Baker and Boulton in the freestyle while Natalia Kelly got a backstroke bronze.

The school end-of-year swimming gala involved all children from years two to six in individual, relay and fun races.
