Evesham’s young Welsh time trial champion Aimee Lane
YOUNG Evesham cycling ace Aimee Lane has been crowned Welsh juvenile girls’ time trial champion.
The 13-year-old Prince Henry’s High School pupil won at Pontypool by three minutes.
Lane, of Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club, clocked 25 minutes seven seconds over the 10-mile course.
She also won Tri Energy’s Go Tri Summer Evening Duathlon Series’ girls’ 11 to 14 years category over three events during the summer at Stourport Sports Club.
The competition for beginners involved 1.6-kilometre and 600-metre runs and a 6km bike section.
