BRETFORTON seconds maintained top spot in West Clubs Women's Hockey League Severn Division Three with a 6-0 win at Lansdown fourths.
They did not let the adverse weather conditions affect their play and after a frustrating draw the previous week from the whistle Bret attacked.
Emma Lowe, Molly Stock and Ness Dufty before the latter's cross was neatly tapped in by Lucy Cole for the first of her hat-trick.
Isla Clayton worked well with Chloe Vickridge on the left and then cleverly supplied Cole who slipped home her second.
With confidence high, Bret captain Andrea Cole blasted home a loose ball.
Lowe and Stock created numerous chances from the right and Dufty was twice denied before tucking away the third effort to make it 4-0.
Lansdown were stronger in the second half but defenders Nat Benwell and Kate Hodgson intervened along with keeper Linda Bell.
Dufty found the goal again after build-up play from Lowe and Stock while Andrea Cole worked tirelessly in central midfield.
The best move of the match was saved until the last minute with sublime passing by Lowe and Dufty setting up Lucy Cole who skilfully hit the post and converted the rebound.
Bret's next match is at home to Bourton and Sherborne thirds on November 4.
The second-placed firsts won 2-1 at Cheltenham thirds in Division One.
