MORETON-in-Marsh sidecar driver Wayne Lockey hopes continuing his strong partnership with passenger Mark Sayers for a fifth year will produce a successful 2018.

The Real Racing duo have not done too much this season due mainly to funds but also through fuel issues at the Isle of Man TT.

Lockey said: “We’ve spent so much time and money on developing our Honda 600cc engines and it was so disappointing having the fuel issues at the TT.

“It’s our biggest race of the year and we always put 100 per cent into it but sadly we were let down.

“We did find the problem eventually and can now move forward and make solid plans for next season.”

In 2018 they aim for the Isle of Man TT, Southern 100 — where the duo finished third and second this year on a borrowed engine — and maybe a few British Championships wild card rounds.
