BROADWAY'S new captains celebrated their inauguration with the annual drive-in.

Bernard Donoghue (club), Maggie McDivitt (ladies), John Musgrove (seniors) and Scott Davis (juniors) all dispatched the ball down the fairway.

Broadway's men competed in the fourth round of their winter league.

While it was a bright and sunny morning, there had been a sharp overnight frost and with winter greens in operation play was a little challenging.

Teams responded well in the foursomes match with Jamie Thomas and Matthew Print making the best of the conditions to win on 35 points ahead of Mick Sandalls and Paul Walker on 34.

Also with 34 but losing out for third and fourth respectively on countback were Keith Burton and Jake Norman along with Ken Major and Robert Scrivens.

All 60 pairs look forward to round five later in the month.
