EVESHAM and Badsey romped to an 8-0 win at Cirencester thirds in West Clubs Women’s Hockey League Severn Division Two.

Sarah Jones opened the scoring from just inside the D after an early short corner in freezing conditions.

Caitlyn Clark defended well for the Vale side who then hit the post.

Laura Moore bagged the second goal from a short corner after a passing move involving the scorer, Jones and Lydia Webster.

Keeper Pip Webster saved well with her defenders Clark, Alannah Croft and Zoe Miller backing her up.

Lydia Webster extended Evesham and Badsey’s lead to 3-0 by half-time.

They continued their pressure early in the second period and eventually Moore grabbed the fourth goal.

Lydia Webster scored a fifth and then provided a sixth for Jones.

Cirencester’s keeper was injured with Evesham and Badsey completing the scoring amid snow showers through player of the match Jones twice to bring her tally to four.
