CYCLING

EVESHAM cyclist Aimee Lane beat older opponents to take the regional race at Stourport held by Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club.

Lane left her girls' under 16s rivals behind despite being the youngest in her age group and kept up with some of the boys.

The teenager has also been impressing with personal best times in Tuesday evening time trials with Worcester St John's.

PARISH GAMES

ENTRIES are required for the 40th Wychavon Parish Games by Friday. 

he games start on Saturday, June 23, with the bell boating on the River Avon behind Pershore Leisure Centre.

This will be followed by the men's five-a-side at Badsey Sports Club on July 1 with the rounders at Pershore High School on July 8.

SAILING

THE wins were split at Arden Sailing Club in sunny weather.

Six boats started in the handicap series third round and Malcolm Colledge went through unchallenged until the end to win in his Comet.

The second race saw the wind drop further as Tricia Wood took the Comet and Commodores Cup honours and Simon Newman the Burt Thurlow triumph in his Streaker.
