EVESHAM Rugby Club’s relegation to Midlands Four West (South) has been confirmed in the new league structure for next season.

The Blind Lane outfit finished rock-bottom of Midlands Three West (South) where local rivals Pershore and Shipston-on-Stour will continue to operate next season.

Evesham will have a derby with Redditch at the new level and also make relatively short trips to Five Ways Old Edwardians in Hopwood and Kings Norton in Alvechurch.

Atherstone, Claverdon, Coventrians, Coventry Welsh, Rugby Lions, Stoke Old Boys and Warwickians will be the other opposition.

Pershore and Shipston again face Upton-upon-Severn and Ledbury as well as promoted Woodrush.

Other clubs in their division are Bedworth, Cheltenham North, Dunlop, Harbury, Manor Park, Old Wheatleyans and Southam.

Meanwhile, Evesham have formed a new junior committee for next season who will meet on Monday, June 23, at 7.30pm at the clubhouse.
