GERRIT-JAN van Velze will captain Worcester Warriors on his debut tomorrow when local rivals Moseley visit Sixways (3pm).

The South African, who made the summer move from Northampton Saints, is one of six changes to the starting 15 that played Bristol last weekend.

Number eight Van Velze slots into the back-row next to Mike Williams and Matt Cox with academy lock Christian Scotland-Williamson earning his first league start for Warriors alongside James Percival.

In the front-row, Ryan Bower and Nick Schonert keep their spots while former Ulster hooker Niall Annett replaces Dan George, who is in the replacements.

Meanwhile, in the backs, Ben Howard will start at full-back with Sam Smith and Tom Biggs maintaining their places on the wings.

Summer acquisition Charlie Mulchrone replaces Jonny Arr at scrum-half and will link-up with Ignacio Mieres at fly-half, with Ravai Fatiaki and Alex Grove in the centre.

The bench includes former Moseley man Dan Sanderson and academy youngsters Mike Daniels and Tiff Eden.

Tomorrow's match will be followed by Worcester Ladies' Premiership opener with Lichfield on the Sixways pitch.
