PERSHORE Rugby Club remain third in Midlands Three West (South) after an exciting 29-29 draw at Cheltenham North.

Lee Synnuck bagged two tries for Pershore, who salvaged a draw in a thrilling contest when Ben Humphries crossed the whitewash.

Pershore are three points behind table-topping Woodrush.

Synnuck scored at the beginning of each half and Greg Hitchcock touched down.

But it looked like the hosts would win until Humphries’ late try hauled Pershore level though Adrian Hanson missed the conversion.

Bredon Star are ninth in Gloucester Division One after a 27-13 home triumph over Old Cryptians.

Stefan Lasota and Nathan Barry were among the try-scorers, while Ross Attwood kicked two conversions and three penalties.

Bredon look for further success on Saturday when they host Telford Hornets in the North Midlands Vase quarter-finals. Evesham host Greyhound in the same contest.
