EVESHAM Rugby Club booked their place in the North Midlands Vase final with an impressive 21-14 victory at Bredon Star.

The Vale outfit will be contesting silverware in the final at Dudley Kingswinford on Sunday, May 10.

Evesham, however, are yet to discover who they will be facing in the end-of-season showpiece.

Kings Norton have reached the last four but travel to the winners of the quarter-final between Bishop’s Castle and Cleobury Mortimer.

Evesham are aiming for promotion from Midlands Four West (South). They are second, level on points with Claverdon in third, and host bottom-of-the-table Five Ways Old Edwardians on Saturday (3pm).

The high-fliers romped to a 79-5 triumph at Five Ways in December.

Bredon Star hope to put their Vase disappointment behind them at home to Old Richians in Gloucester One on Saturday (2.15pm).

Pershore visit Midlands Three West (South) leaders Dunlop on Saturday.
