8 Pennell – Assured against top-quality opposition and made at least two try-saving tackles in defence.

6 Short – The wing’s eagerly-awaited return lasted just six minutes before he suffered an ankle injury and was replaced by Howard.

6 Stelling – Struggled to get into the game early on. Grew in confidence and made a couple of darting runs.

6 Mills – A mixed bag from the centre – threw an intercept pass which led to a Barbarians try but worked hard in defence.

7 Vuna – A lot slimmer, fitter and sharper since the end of last season. Took his try well.

9 HEATHCOTE – Caught the eye on his Warriors debut. Strong in defence and confident in attack. Converted all five of Worcester’s tries.

8 Baldwin – A physical presence who kept calm in the first-half when Warriors lost structure and were under pressure.

6 Leleimalefaga – A difficult debut for the big Samoan against a high-quality Barbarians front row.

6 George – Missed the end of last season through injury and found it difficult at times at the scrum and line-out.

6 Rees – Took a bang on the head which forced an early change. Warriors lost four scrums against the head.

6 Sanderson – Plenty of defensive effort from Warriors’ British and Irish Cup final hero as the pack were pushed around.

6 O'Shea – A quiet first-half for the former Munster man but much improved in the line-out in the second period.

6 Cox – A typically committed physical display from experienced flanker, mostly in defence.

6 Kirwan – Overworked in defence and given a hard time before being replaced at the interval by Marco Mama.

8 Dowson – Scored Warriors’ first try and set up Ravai Fatiaki's touchdown after a strong run and classy offload.
