MOEEN Ali finished as England's joint leading wicket-taker in the mini Test series with Bangladesh.

The Worcestershire all-rounder ended up with 11 wickets from the two matches at an average of 22.90.

Only Ben Stokes - 11 at 10.09 - managed the same return on the spinner-friendly pitches in Chittagong and Dhaka.

Next highest was leg spinner Adil Rashid whose seven wickets cost 29.85 runs apiece.

Moeen flies out to India tomorrow (Wednesday) for the five match series - just 12 wickets away from reaching his century in Test cricket.

He has picked up 88 wickets in his 32 Tests at 39.64 runs each.

Moeen also weighed in with 92 useful runs batting at number five, the bulk of which were made in scoring 68 during the first innings in Chittagong.

He passed 1,500 Test runs during the series and has an overall total of 1,546 at an average of 33.60.

England will complete the five Test series before Christmas and will then return to India in the New Year for white ball action.
