Worcestershire CCC facing relegation after batting collapse against Warwickshire

County survival hopes in tatters County survival hopes in tatters

WORCESTERSHIRE are staring relegation in the face after a spectacular batting collapse against arch rivals Warwickshire at New Road.

Having won the toss and elected to bat first, a terrible display with the willow, which has been symptomatic of the County's LV= County Championship Division One woes this term, saw the hosts dismissed before lunch.

The scorecard made sorry reading as Worcestershire were shot out for a humiliating 60 all out in just 29 overs, with only three batsmen making double-figures.

Steve Rhodes' men now face a heavy defeat, which would condemn them to relegation from the top-flight, as well as handing the title to their local rivals.

Nothing new there then . Expected this,
the board must take responsibility for employing incompetent staff and for the lack of talent retention. Suggest that they start from top down and sack Rhodes and his sidekicks . Then employ a competent manager and staff .

I assume Steve Rohdes & co. must be coming cheap as surely his track record is not keping him in the job?
