DIRECTOR of basketball Paul James believes Worcester Wolves are building momentum heading into the play-offs.

Wolves have won four British Basketball League matches this month, including two in 24 hours against London Lions and Leicester Riders last week.

Their final three fixtures of the regular season pit them against Sheffield Sharks tomorrow (7.30pm), Glasgow Rocks on Friday and Surrey United on Saturday.

Although Newcastle Eagles have been crowned champions following weekend successes against Birmingham Knights and Surrey, Wolves can still finish second before the play-offs start later this month.

"The games are coming thick and fast, we're a momentum team and when we're playing that's when we're at our best," James said.

"When we get time off or have a break we're not as good, we get a bit rusty. The fact that we've got games coming up thick and fast is going to do us good."

Meanwhile, Wolves' awards night takes place in the University Arena's conference suite on Wednesday, April 23, at 6.30pm.

Honours will be presented to the most valuable player as well as the best defensive and most exciting. It costs £3 per person, including a buffet.

Voting slips are available at the arena reception and must be in by Friday.

Wolves' under 16s, 18s and second team will also receive their awards.
