WORCESTER Wolves star Zaire Taylor has been crowned British Basketball League player of the year.

The playmaker has been an integral part of Wolves' success this season, which has seen them win the BBL Trophy and finish third in the Championship.

They have also reached the semi-finals of the play-offs and face Sheffield Sharks over two legs this weekend.

Taylor, also named Wolves' most valuable player by the fans, fought off competition from team-mate Will Creekmore for the top award, while Cheshire Phoenix's Victor Moses was third.
