WORCESTER Wolves completed a hat-trick of victories over leaders Newcastle Eagles in the British Basketball League with a tempestuous 88-81 triumph at the University Arena.
Captain Alex Owumi led the way with 25 points, while four other Wolves players reached double figures in front of a sell-out crowd, which saw tip-off delayed by 10 minutes to get everyone in.
The game was also stopped for around half-an-hour during the second quarter after Newcastle's Rahmon Fletcher landed awkwardly and was eventually stretchered off in a neck brace following treatment on the court.
Charles Smith scored 22 points for the Eagles, whose only defeats this season have come at the hands of Worcester.
David Forrester, Eagles' assistant coach, was also sent to the dressing rooms amid a fiesty finale, during which Worcester's Paul Guede and Newcastle's Andrew Thomson fouled out of the game.
