WORCESTER Wolves will be aiming to register a quick-fire double against bottom-of-the-table Plymouth Raiders at the University of Worcester Arena tomorrow (3pm).

Paul James’ Wolves sealed a hard-fought 91-80 away victory against Plymouth when the teams met last Saturday for the first time in this season’s British Basketball League.

Perris Blackwell had a fine match for Wolves, scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds in last weekend's encounter.

It was an important triumph for Wolves who needed to return to winning ways after back-to-back home defeats against London Lions and Cheshire Phoenix.

Wolves have won all of the last seven meetings between these sides.

Wolves’ experienced forward Pavol Losonsky said: "I wouldn't say it is difficult to play a team twice so close together. We have seen what they do and how they play, but at the end of the day, it is always about us.

"We have to take this game seriously and take care of business at home.

“There is no room for slipping anymore, especially when we play at home."

Only Manchester Giants are conceding more points-per-game than Raiders, who are letting in an average of 86.75.

Raiders' player-coach Daryl Corletto will demand a positive response from his side who prop up the table with just one win from their first eight games.

Corletto: "I'm enjoying the challenge. I love being a leader of the Plymouth team and trying to bring everyone together. We've changed a couple of things off the court and on the court, so far it's been baby steps, but it's definitely moving in a positive way."

It is Wolves’ second league match of the weekend after their long trip to face league leaders Newcastle Eagles on Friday night.
