WORCESTER Wolves have recorded a thrilling 96-88 victory at Surrey Scorchers after forcing overtime in today's British Basketball League clash.

Orlan Jackman’s three-pointer with three seconds remaining hauled second-placed Wolves level at 81-81 against much-improved Surrey.

Wolves finished the contest strongly, eventually pulling eight points clear of their rivals in overtime to complete a memorable weekend for Paul James’ side.

They shattered Newcastle Eagles’ 28-match unbeaten run on Friday night, sealing an outstanding 94-80 league win at a packed University of Worcester Arena.

Perris Blackwell topped the charts at Surrey with 18 points, while Pavol Losonsky bagged 17 and was closely followed by Javier Mugica and Jay Couisnard with 16 each.

Wolves opened up a healthy 28-15 advantage against Surrey at the end of the first quarter and were 44-37 ahead at the half-time interval.

Wolves held a slender 64-62 lead at the end of the third quarter before the hosts edged in front and James’ men need to use all their experience to come out on top.
