POWERFUL forward Perris Blackwell capped off an impressive first season at Worcester Wolves by scooping two top prizes at the club’s end-of-season awards.
The 6ft 9in American was named Most Valued Player and Offensive Player of the Season after scoring 590 points in 34 appearances since arriving last summer.
With an average of about eight rebounds per game, Spaniard Javier Mugica claimed the Defensive Player of the Season.
The other big winner was guard Ashton Khan, who secured the title of Wolves’ Most Exciting Player following a promising debut campaign.
The awards ceremony, which took place at the University of Worcester Arena, also gave head coach Paul James and his players the chance to reflect on a season which saw them finish fourth in British Basketball League and reach the BBL Trophy semi-finals.
