More Blue days for Worcester

WORCESTER Wolves have acted quickly in their efforts to build on their British Basketball League success by signing Sherrad Prezzie-Blue for another year.

The University of Worcester-based side finished third in the Championship during 2011/12 before losing to Cheshire Jets in the quarter-finals of the play-offs.

Director of Basketball Paul James is keen to keep his squad together and is delighted to see the American guard sign a new contract.

James said: “Every good team needs a good leader and the Wolves certainly have one in Prezzie.

“He is one of the best point guards in this league and will be the cornerstone of our team next year.”

Prezzie-Blue, 25, averaged nearly five assists in every game, while also averaging 17 points. He added: “I have really enjoyed being at Worcester and have been pleased with how I’ve played.

“Having said that, we all know that there is unfinished business that needs to be addressed.

“We had a good season but know that we can do even better.”
